The Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences places great emphasis on
the protection of the personal information of the visitors and members of the Library. The personal
data are handled in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Act CXII
of 2011.
According to the Regulation, a natural person becomes a data subject by handing their personal data
over to the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, who will act as
data controller.
