Ahmet Cevat Acar's visit to the Oriental Collection
On November 6, 2015, the Oriental Collection received the President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, Professor Ahmet Cevat Acar, and his advisor, Ahmet Arslantürk.
During the cordial meeting the guests studied a number of manuscripts and old prints from the Turkish collection and considered the possibilities for cooperation to publish some of them.

Sorena Sattari's visit to the Oriental Collection
In the course of his visit to Budapest to participate in The World Science Forum, Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the Oriental Collection on November 6, 2015.
He examined the Persian collection of the Library and the most outstanding Persian manuscripts kept there. The guest was presented a plaque decorated with the motifs from the Library’s copy of the Shahnameh. Dr. Sattari autographed another copy of the plaque and praised the staff's commitment to attend and preserve the treasures of Persian culture.

Exhibition of the Oriental Collection in Delhi
Fascinated by the Orient, a joint exhibition of our Oriental Collection and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, opened in New Delhi on 24 March 2015.
The exhibition presenting the life and work of Sir Aurel Stein was concomitant with the international conference Marc Aurel Stein with Special Reference to South and Central Asian Legacy: Recent Discoveries and Research.
